Recent Projects

2025

September 2025: Created my own online IT portfolio. https://www.georgecook-ll.com/

August 2025: Worked with a client to upgrade their old iPad to a newer version. After trying to upgrade the device they were not able to connect to the provider's 5G network. After troubleshooting the device, I had to transfer content back to the old device and upgrade the physical sim card to an eSIM. I then went back through the transfer process to the new device and was able to get them connected to the network and have 5G access as well as the Wi-Fi they had before.

August 2025: Created a network folder for a local Doctors office. Configured the office printer to use this new folder to store scanned patient forms and files for their records. Applied group access and permissions.

June 2025: Installed IOT devices (Cameras) for security at a residents house. Configured devices to work with their local network, and Wi-Fi router depending on the connection.

March 2025: Below is a copy of a project I completed for my final assignment to graduate, and to receive my Bachelor's of Science in Cybersecurity & Information Assurance

2024

January 2024: Installed IoT's for a client. Programmed two wireless security cameras on their network. Initiated security protocols to isolate cameras from other parts of the network to avoid the main network from being compromised.

March 2024: Created a business website for a client Making Daylight Charters to help them tell customers about their company and share their clients experience. Home

June 2024: Troubleshooted a clients iMac. Replaced a failing hard drive and upgraded memory.

October 2024: Diagnosed a failed key fob and used Toyota Techstream software to program new key fobs for a 2008 Prius.

2023

November 2023: Troubleshooted issue with Wi-Fi intermediately dropping. Found a failing Wi-Fi router to be the problem. Replaced the bad router, and recommended replacing a very old modem that had reached EOL. Set up new a new modem, and recommended upgrading services from ISP to accommodate the amount of devices being used.

June 2025: Client stated older computer boots slower, and accesses programs slower than newer computer and asked if there was anyway to speed it up. Upgraded an old HDD drive to a newer and faster SSD. Transferred the contents of the old drive to the new drive. Recommended to the client after they decided to keep old drive and contents to have the drive wiped clean before discarding.
